The Letter

This is a charcoal drawing of a torn up letter - I have been working on something I call my "paper series" which is a series of trompe l'oeil style drawings of pieces of paper designed to elicit a range of feelings and emotions.
 
The idea is to spark the viewers imagination as to what this letter may have said, with just a few fragments of words still visible. My favourite part of this piece is the "I love you" sign-off that can just about be seen through the back of the paper via the indentation it has made on the paper when the author wrote it.
